The purpose of the day-care centers is to provide employment, opportunity for self-expression, expansion of contacts, acquisition of new skills, and active participation in community life for the beneficiaries. The proposed community-based social-health service delivery model established by the Organization, enables beneficiaries to receive a variety of services in their communities, including renovated, equipment-equipped, day-care centers of the Organization. Each center has social rooms, medical centers, halls for various events.
There are also charitable soup-kitchens in the day-care centers, which provide beneficiaries with calorie-rich hot meals once a day.
The following activities are provided in the day-care centers:
– Organization of beneficiaries’ leisure, different clubs (literary club, kitchen club, etc.), cultural events, meetings and excursions;
– psycho-social support, counselling
– provision of primary medical care
– provision of hot meal
– provision of laundry service, if needed
– provision of other services.
Currently Organization’s day-care centers operate in the following communities: Shengavit, Qanaker-Zeytun, Nor-Nork, Avan, Ajapnyak, Nubarashen, Gyumri, Artik, Vanadzor, Alaverdi, Spitak, Tashir, Chambarak, Sevan, Kapan, Sisian, Artashat, Masis, Hrazdan, Charentsavan.
